Etobicoke Dental Health Care Donates 500 Oral Care Packages Through The Warmth Initiative

The holidays shouldn’t only be about exchanging gifts with the ones we know and love.

Sadly, this time of year can be especially difficult for those less fortunate.

That’s why it’s important to remember that giving back to our communities and to those in need if we have the means to do so can be so impactful this holiday season. A simple donation can go a long way in helping to make a troubled stranger or family’s holiday season that much more merry and bright.

Everyone deserves a healthy smile

When our Etobicoke dentist Dr. Yasmin Mawji learned about the Warmth Initiative founded by Judy & Deane Collinson with a goal of making life easier for those facing difficulties - she knew she wanted to join in making a difference where she could.

And so our Dr. Mawji and team set out to package and donate 500 oral hygiene kits to The Warmth Initiative, each containing oral care items such as a toothbrush and toothpaste for those in need of such supplies.

Bringing a little Warmth to others in need

Since its launch in nearly November, The Warmth Initiative received a mountain of donations by month’s end including other self-care items like shampoo, hand sanitizer, soap, deodorant, lotion, lip balm, hairbrushes, wash cloths and snacks, as well as over 2,000 warmth items including winter coats, gloves, mitts, toques, scarves and 500 pairs of socks.

Donate through The Warmth Initiative or another charitable organization this holiday season

It’s been a tough year, to say the least. Food banks, homeless shelters and long term care homes especially need your help this holiday season.
